“Stitou” is a young Arctic tern born on the shores of a Moroccan lake. Every winter, he sits spellbound as Uncle Balarj—the colony’s storyteller and a beloved stork—paints a picture of the Far North as a land of wonders, where blessings flow without struggle and life is a paradise on earth. While the others are captivated, a question arises in Stito’s mind: What if it were true?
